God Planted a Seed

Musings this Saturday before Easter Sunday 2020:

Low in the grave He lay,

A cold stone sealed to bar His way.

Satan having his day.

God planting a Seed

for us in our time of need.

His plan to bring Life will succeed.

Women mourning.

Pharisees scorning,

torn temple veil though most alarming.

God planted a Seed

for us in our time of need.

His plan to bring Life shall succeed.

Creation holding its breath

Christ’s body reposing in rest

full knowing that all will be blest.

God having planted His Seed

for us in our time of need.

His plan to bring Life must succeed.

For soon will come Easter morn

the death keys from Satan’s hands torn.

We into Life can be born

Christ rising up from The Seed.

Mankind from death’s cruel hand freed.

New Life now flowing indeed.

All from that one First Born Seed!
