The Hidden Enemy

Their position concealed who was really behind the weapon.
 
We have an enemy whose ONLY agenda is KILL, STEAL, DESTROY. 
 
To the extent that he can, he hides behind whatever concealment he can—complicit individuals, governments, “natural” phenomena like plagues, earthquakes, tornadoes and other means of mass destruction.
 
GOD IS LOVE.  He does not kill, steal or destroy. 
 
He did not send the corona virus for any purpose.
 
PERIOD.  Full stop.  He did not send it.
 
That does not mean that He will not use it towards His ends.  He used the crucifixion of Jesus to defeat satan when satan thought he had triumphed. 
 
Pharaoh of Egypt was told to let God’s people go. 
 
Egypt had for over 400 years been a place of sanctuary and refuge for God’s chosen people.  Israel remained in Egypt under the protection of various leaders from the time of Joseph, understanding the debt they owed to Jehovah.
 
Then there arose a Pharaoh who did not remember Joseph or the God he represented.  He did not know nor acknowledge gratitude to the One Who had protected and blessed Egypt because they were harboring and blessing His people.
 
It was time for Israel to move on.  Pharaoh had subjected them to harsh labor because the hand of God was on them and they were increasing in number in preparation for their departure from the land.
 
“No.  I will not let them go.”
 
“I will subject them to more harsh conditions and demand the destruction of their babies.  I will tighten my fist around their throats.”
 
Through Moses, God turned Pharaoh, his land and his people over to the gods they traditionally served, the concealed enemies of Egypt who were being restrained by Jehovah because of Israel from harming them.
 
Those gods, as Jehovah removed His protective blessing at the command of Moses, wreaked their havoc among the Egyptians resulting in the destruction of their means of productivity, their health, and ultimately in the death of their first born and the total obliteration of their army through which they might gain conquests and protect themselves from predation from other nations.
 
When Moses stretched forth his rod, God withdrew His protection unleashing the destructive nature of the god that was exposed and released.  Moses was pulling back the curtain so the Egyptians could see for themselves who they were serving and what the results of their devotion would bring upon them.
 
Every single plague demonstrated the true nature of the explicit false god it exposed.  Each plague specifically targeted one god in the Egyptian pantheon.  One by one they were brought from the shadows and allowed to do what was in their limited repertoire.
 
Jehovah made a distinction during the most destructive portions of the plagues between His people and those who belonged to these other gods whom Jehovah was exposing and allowing to do to the Egyptians what satan always does—KILL, STEAL, DESTROY.
 
If Pharaoh had immediately let Israel go, none of this would have happened.  Pharaoh would have been known as perhaps the greatest liberator the world had ever seen.  It is very likely residual blessings from Jehovah would have continued to resonate within his nation for generations to come, as remaining grace from Jehovah provided ongoing benefits and protections the Egyptians would not have even known were theirs.
 
Our world has benefited immensely particularly over the past century as a result of the spread of Christianity around the globe.  We have experienced unusually favorable weather conditions.  We have experienced incredible strides in the area of medicine and productivity.
 
After WWII missions exploded as never before.   Thousands of missionaries went into places that had never before been exposed to the Gospel.   Millions became believers.  Societies were transformed.  In the 80’s prayer for the 10-40 Window tore open access to the remaining most resistant segments of the world so that where there had been no response to the Gospel, literally thousands began to come into the Kingdom.  Dreams and visions exploded among Muslims causing them to seek out and turn to Jesus.

More people have come to Christ in the last 30 years than in the entire history of Christianity!
 
Satan, like a roaring lion, knowing his time was short was not idle.
 
Abortion became the law of the land in America.  Various perversions of God’s creation have increasingly forced their way into “normal” society and gained legal dominance, promoted by unwitting dupes of satan.  Though some are willingly complicit.
 
This has become global.  Christians are targeted, sought out and killed in nations that were benefiting from their presence and their prayers.
 
KILL, STEAL, DESTROY.
 
I have a friend I admire and respect who recently asked, “Why do evangelicals focus so much on abortion?”
 
Abortion has a name.  Moloch.  He is a blood-thirsty ghoul. 
 
Why would we feed him blood sacrifices from the wombs of our nation’s mothers?  Hundreds of thousands of blood sacrifices. 
 
When we do, what results should we expect as God reluctantly withdraws His hand of protection over our nation?  Over our globe.
 
God does not take delight in the death of sinners.
 
God who has been protecting the world on so many levels is sadly turning the world over to the gods the world is worshiping.
 
Enter covid 19.
 
Some believers ask, “How could God allow this to happen?”  Or worse, “How could God do such a thing?”
 
Look again at the above picture.
 
Someone is hiding behind the weapon so as to not be seen.
 
Satan is the one who has the agenda to KILL, STEAL, DESTROY.
 
God is exposing him for who and what he is.
 
He is pleading with the nations of the world to repent and to turn or to return to Him.
 
Awakening.
     Revival.
 
God wants life. 
     Life abundant for us all.
 
That is God’s plan.
 
But we must turn to Him to seek life and not death.
 
God is unmasking the concealed enemy.
     Exposing him for who and what he is.
 
KILL, STEAL, DESTROY!! 
 
“Choose you this day whom you will serve.  As for me and my house, as for me and my church, we will serve God.”
 
I firmly believe and am utterly convinced that in the months to come as men turn to Him in desperation, God will bring about the greatest awakening the world has ever experienced.  Perhaps the last one before Jesus comes again.

Do not give in to despair or doubt.
 
Let’s participate with Him in bringing this to pass. 
 
Let us hold on to Him who is Love and Life and pray to Him to do what He longs to do.
 
Let it be, Lord Jesus.
     Let it be.
